Recall Diagana
Ripping it up at West Brom (different League I know) but he just needed a little more confidence I feel. Antonio is out til xmas at best, ideal replacement for the bench. If yarmolenko gets injured we are in trouble in this position too.
Recall is at any stage I am led to believe?

Re: Recall Diagana
Early days but he seems to be rewarding the trust Bilic has placed in him.

Thing is you really have to judge a player over a season, probably 2 ( second season syndrome when teams know their strengths and set up to stop them etc) to really know if they can cut it in he Premiership. Players can start well then tail off quickly.

I thought his biggest issue was being too lightweight on the ball and poor decision making in terms of passing. He did not look anywhere good enough for the most part but hope he develops. Getting regular games should help him with building strength needed. He should watch and try to emulate Sterling. Tremendous strength on the ball for a little lad and of course great skill and movement as much as he irritates at times :-)

Lets see where Grady is in 10 games time. Hopefully, still having a big impact.

Re: Recall Diagana
Grady Diangana has been called into the England U21 squad for their 2021 UEFA U21 Championship qualifiers against Turkey and Kosovo. The 21-year-old winger, currently at Slaven Bilic's West Bromwich Albion on a season-long loan, is in Aidy Boothroyd's squad for the first time after previously impressing at U20 level.

I saw that on Newsnow but the link to the WHUFC website says I don't have access. Nothing on the FA website.

Re: Recall Diagana
Leave him where he is and review in January

However I;m of the opinion that a full 46 games season plus potential play-offs in an attacking team under Bilic will do him the world of good.

He has scored a couple of stunning goals already - less than a month into the season.

Long term lateral thinking - thank you please

who cares about trapping it if he just puts it in the back of the net?

Hope not, Abraham can't trap a bag of cement. The new Carlton Cole.

Is it like Stars in Their Eyes?

He'll go through the smokey doorway as Diangana, spend a season on loan at West Brom and come back through the smokey doorway as Tammy Abraham?

Re: Recall Diagana
Ripped up Macclesfield, Luton and Blackburn. Is it his level, looked lightweight against bigger and better teams.
Hopefully this experience changes that.

The manager seems to think for some odd reason that Snodgrass is a shoe in all across the park, as a sub. But can only hit the keeper every time he shoots. Don't really know what he adds but runs around a lot.

I had a look at a couple of West Brom forums. Not one thread on Diangana, the ungrateful cunts.

Yeah nice one Sidey son, makes more interesting for the reader of it makes some sense though. Not like you haven't got the time on your hands to take a bit of care is it? Sloppy.

Yeah, he went to Bournemouth who were in League 1 at the time. He became the first player to score in nine consecutive games if memory serves.

Re: Recall Diagana
The best option for both West Ham and the player is for Diagana to play 40+ games at the Championship level and score loads of goals and grab a few assists. Most importantly develop as a player.

Hopefully he comes back and has developed into a first team player. If not he will have certainly increased his sale value.

Re: Recall Diagana
Didn't Defoe go out on loan, do very well and come back to be our top scorer?

Of course, I hope the parallel ends there, without the relegation and him forcing a move...
